Managed Print Services

Companies and organisations across the globe are turning to Managed Print Services (MPS) and with guarantees of a low cost per page, it makes perfect sense.

What is managed print service?

Managed Print Services (MPS) is helping companies to save money and take control of what and how they print. MPS is a total printing solution enabling you to manage your ongoing print running costs. You’ll enter either a monthly or a pay-as-you-print contract with a guaranteed cost for colour or mono pages. Included in the monthly fee are all toners, consumables and servicing which are supplied directly from the manufacturer giving you complete peace of mind with the knowledge your MFD is being maintained with OEM consumables and parts.

Who benefits from MPS?

Just about everyone can benefit from a Managed Print service. BTS Limited will work with you to ensure you get the best service plan for your business needs. Whether your requirements are extremely high coverage photo prints, irregular print runs (such as school printers), high volume prints with low coverage or mission critical printing with a superfast engineer response time, there’s a plan for you.

What are the benefits of a MPS contract?

  • No minimum quarterly commitment on specific plans
  • Contracts can be cancelled with 90 days notice on specific plans
  • Manufacturer warranty for the length of the contract
  • No need to waste time trawling the web looking for consumables
  • Easy forecasting of ongoing running costs

uniFLOW Print & Scan Management Software

This software enables your organisation to monitor, measure and control all print, copy, fax and scan activity on your Canon MFD's, wide format printers & desktop/workgroup printers as well as those from other manufacturers.

Software integrated scanning processes benefit your enterprise by enabling you to restrict access to scan and print features. Authentication is required only once for a user to utilise print, copy and scan features.

When a particular user logs on, a unique selection of scanning options and document workflows are presented to them by uniFLOW. The Follow Me feature means each user gets the same choices no matter which MFP they are using.

Keyword searchable documents

uniFLOW also offers the additional benefit of better security thanks to the auto-searching of keywords as documents are printed, scanned, copied, faxed (via fax server) or emailed. If a certain keyword is flagged – such as ‘private’ for example – you can set the system up to terminate the job straight away of send it to the given supervisor for approval. The development of IRIS OCR technology enables this.

This feature has proven popular with certain types of organisation, such as government departments and financial institutions, along with others that handle sensitive data. Such controls can be limited to particular users, departments or projects. Phrases or combinations of keywords can be identified, along with single keywords.

The uniFLOW universal print driver functions with all types of networked print device, inclusive of those from other brands, and no matter which machine is used, print settings remain the same. Thumbnail previews provide further reassurance.

Secure Print, which also operates on non-MEAP devices, means print jobs are retained on the server until the person who created the job logs on to the device they wish to use. This means documents only ever get into the hands of intended recipients.

Improved workflows

Organisations with a central reprographics department (CRD) in-house will be able to integrate uniFLOW with Helix – Canon’s web-to-print workflow solution. With this combination, the entire organisation’s print activity can be viewed with ease. Additionally, job routing ensures the jobs of a certain complexity or size are sent to the device best suited to the task.

Workflows are also improved with the ability to connect with programs like Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint and Therefore.
